SHAZZUAN is his name and he has made me see both side of the coin.....(Put your critical thinking cap on)

COMMENTING ON THESE 4 VERY INTERESTING INDIVIDUALS (the last post)

HELLO EVERYONE.....
This is my last post and my last entry....thinks of it as a partly ending coz’ you and I can see each other again...god’s willing....
Let us not waste anytime...this last post is all about commenting (basically condemning) these individuals....

Eckhart Tolle

Bertrand Russell

Robert Greene

Adolf Hitler

These individuals are the famous authors whom we must apply the RULE OF 10 whether we agree with their views or disagree with them.

The first article is "Thinking Folly" written by Eckhart Tolle fom his  best known work, "The Power Of Now". In this article, he mentioned that we are not our mind and thinking is a disease because usually we do not use it at all.

Second article is written by Betrand Arthur William Russell or known as Betrand Russell entitled on "The Degree Of Happiness" from his book, "The Conquest of Happiness". Betrand Russell stated that everyone reach their own happiness in their life. However, he mentioned that mostly scientist is the happiest person because they reached their goals and an artist and also literary men will be unhappy if the public cannot understand their works.

"Man and women are merely players" is the third article. This excerpt was written by Robert Greene from his book, "The 48 Laws of Power". In this article, he stated that to obtain power or position, usually men and women used the dirty ways to achieve it. He also added, this always happen for men and women in this world.

The forth article is entitled on ''The Jews and Their Deceits". This article was written by famous German politician, Adolf Hitler. In this article, he mentioned the actual attitude of Jews and I need to choose side which is agree or disagree with his statement.

Basically, for the first article I disagree with Eckhart Tolle. For the second one, I disagree also with Bertrand Russell. Next, Robert Greene has been one of the author I disagree with. Lastly, the tyrannical Adolf Hitler, I agree with his views.

Ability-wise, I have come to learn how to look at both sides of the coin not just the face or the tail because that is a wrong understanding of things.

GOODLUCK AND GOODBYE.....^_^

Plato's momentous CAVE.....

Let us enter the CAVE in which Plato resides....

let us begin the journey......

File:Plato-raphael.jpgPlato's analogy depicts a group of people being imprisoned in a cave and being tricked into thinking shadows cast on a cave wall are all reality has to offer (they lived their entire lives this way, they've never been outside). But if you can somehow escape, you'll get out of the cave. For the first time, you will see sunlight and 3 dimensions and such, and your mind will be blown; you'll be blinded and confused. Then, you'll want to free others. But the majority of prisoners will not leave with you no matter what you say, convinced that the shadows are the real world.

The cave is an analogy that is trying to make a point about the real world. Consider a philosopher in a world of ordinary city people. Ordinary people don't realize how blind they are in their daily lives. If one such person suddenly started seeing truth, they would at first be blinded and confused. But then they would try to show others. But others won't really listen. If he pushes too hard, they will label him crazy and shun him, preferring to keep their lives comfortable.
The task that was assigned to us was:

1.
Choose a setting/reality that is similar to this story.
Well, I would change the setting to the smaller scope which is friendship

      2.      In your opinion what do these objects symbolizes:

I   The prisoners- The people who are searching for friends
II.   The chains-the longing for friendship
III. The fire-feeling of true friendship which is ever changing
IV. The shadows and the images-blurry images one have of a true friend
                                   V.  The puppet players-the person who pretends to be friends with you
                                   VI. The old man- Society

3.      Based on the setting/reality which you have selected, why do you think the prisoner hurt his eyes when he first liberated?

The person cannot accept that he or she does not have a real friend or those whom he considered to be his friends are indeed liars and two faced.

4.      In the context which you have selected, why do you think that the prisoner still insist that the images which he has seen before are much real that the statues?

The person is used to the shadows and the image of the person whom he thinks as his real friends so he can’t believe any other things even if they are truly real.

THAT IS WHAT THE SCOPE OF FRIENDSHIP CAN BE SEEN BY USING PLATO’S MYTH OF THE CAVE. ^_^

how to SIMILE and METAPHOR?

Let us SIMILE and METAPHOR my dear viewers......

A simile is a figure of speech that indirectly compares two different things by employing the words "like", "as", or "than".
A metaphor is a figure of speech that constructs an analogy between two things or ideas, the analogy is conveyed by the use of a metaphorical word in place of some other word.  Metaphors compare things without using "like" or "as."

Here are a list of similes and metaphors:

SIMILE:

As bold as brass
As brave as a lion
As bright as a button
As bright as a new pin
As bright as day
As bright as the sun
As busy as a beaver
As busy as a bee
As busy as a cat on a hot tin roof
As calm as a millpond
As clear as a bell
As clean as a hound's tooth
As clean as a whistle
As clear as crystal
As clear as mud
As cold as ice
As common as dirt
As cool as a cucumber
As crazy as a loon
As cunning as a fox
As cute as a baby
As cute as a button
As cute as a cup cake
As damp as the salty blue ocean
As dead as a doornail
As dead as the dodo
As deaf as a post
As delicate as a flower
As dense as a brick
As different as chalk from cheese
As drunk as a lord
As dry as a bone
As dry as dust
As dull as dishwater
As easy as A.B.C.

UNDERSTOOD???....well lets us move on to METAPHOR shall we....?

  •           Reality is an enemy
  •         Truth is food for him
  •          Fear is a beast that Feeds on attention
  •          Spiritual seeking is treasure hunting
  •          Life's journey is a bicycle ride down the hill

Let her R.I.P.......

RIPPING APART Jack The Ripper

First of all, Jack the Ripper is a well-known name given to an unidentified serial killer who was active in the largely impoverished areas in and around the Whitechapel district of London in 1888. The name originated in a letter, written by someone claiming to be the murderer that was disseminated in the media. The letter is widely believed to have been a hoax, and may have been written by a journalist in a deliberate attempt to heighten interest in the story. Other nicknames used for the killer at the time were "The Whitechapel Murderer" and "Leather Apron".
The criminal profiling my group consist of Ilhani Mazlan and Atiqah Shallahuddin come up with is that Jack the Ripper has these following characteristics:

Criminal Profiling

  1.   .  Surgeon doctor
  2.      Mental illness
  3.      Wealthy (upper class citizen)
  4.      A man who is strong enough to lift women
  5.      Strong hatred towards women (misogynistic)
  6.      Local English man

The canonical five or the five victims of Jack the Ripper:

The Canonicals Five

  1. Mary Ann Nichols
  2. Annie Chapman
  3. Elizabeth Stride
  4. Catherine Eddowes
  5. Mary Jane Kelly

In my point of view Thomas Neill Cream is the most likely to be Jack the Ripper because the features that he have suite the criminal profiling the most. The first thing is he is a doctor secretly specializing in abortion. Means that he had the skill of handling the knife and he knows human anatomy. The second one is he had a record of murdering his mistress’s husband then arrested and sentence to death on 15 November 1892. The killing of the canonical was around late August 1888 and end at early November 1888. So Thomas Neill Cream has insufficient time to kill those five victims. Sir Edward Marshall Hall suspected that his prison term may have been served by a look alike in his place. While, Donald Bell suggested that he could have bribed officials and left the prison before his official release. Furthermore, according to some sources, his last words were reported as being “I am Jack the....”,interpreted to mean Jack the Ripper. At that particular Jack was synonym with Jack the Ripper.

These are our accusations that we think is strong enough to put Thomas Neil Cream behind bars if he is still alive.

P/S: The least likely to be a murderer is Montague John Druitt...in case you want to know

Flop or Drop??

Plan 9 from outer space....A film flop or a film disaster?

Seriously, the title...

When I first heard of the title...this are my expectations actually:

·       It might be good coz’ it’ll be the first black and white movie I watch...ever...
·       It sound spacey and futuristic
·       It sounds like I Am Legend cross Thor with a dash of Star Wars saga
·       CAN’T WAIT

After that, it all went downhill after watching the trailer Sir Mark showed us:

·       WHAT THE HELL?!
·       ............
·       I...err...I....(speechless)

Maybe there is still hope for this movie I think to myself (All movies deserve second chances if its trailers are bad):

·       FORGET IT...
·       This cinematography is bad
·       The sounds sound like a cat having its uterus pulled up
·       The script is like eating your own vomit that have been left out in the rain for 2 years
·       The actors and actress are WEIRD!!!
·       The story board is plain weird and I felt like jumping out of the BK building that night.... (Seriously) ...
·       IT JUST PLAIN BAD...it is so good at being so terrible.

I GAVE THE MOVIE A 1 STAR OUT OF 10....I cannot bring myself to tell you the story..you just have to watch the movie yourself to know the storyline...
But Plan 9 did not work and they kinda failed to conquer the world and the movie scene..

P/S: after watching the biopic of Edward Davis Wood, Jr., I kinda felt his hardship and challenges he faced in making movies.GOOD JOB MR.DIRECTOR..but that is a whole other post!!!

Superlative Superstition....

Superlative Superstition...
Our team consisted of:
Muhammad Faiz Abdullah
Mohamad Shazzuan Razali
Muhammad Farez Amir Mustapar

Firstly, LEFT BRAIN is the region where you tend to think using facts and logic.
Whereas, RIGHT BRAIN is the region of your brain where you think creatively and imaginatively.

Definition....
Firstly, SUPERSTITION....
¡  Usually involves luck, prophecy and super natural beings.
¡  Derived from Cicero - "superstitiosi" ("survivors"): parents indulging in excessive prayer and sacrifice hoping that their children would survive them to perform their necessary funeral rituals.
¡  Classical Latinsuperstitio, literally "a standing over [in amazement]"

Step On A Crack, You’ll Break Your Mother’s Back….

¡  Left Brain

¡  It is impossible    because crack is not related to the body system.
¡  Why must mother, not fathers, sisters, etceteras.

¡  Right Brain

¡  A way to know whether you love your mother or not.
¡  A means for an individual to be more aware of his/her surroundings.

Breaking a mirror will result in 7 years of bad luck

¡  Left Brain

¡  Mirrors do not have superpowers.
¡  Luck is not dependent on mirrors but instead on our own efforts.

¡  Right Brain

¡   A person’s face brings luck so, when we break the mirror we actually breaks our own luck.
¡  We can save money by not breaking mirrors.

When You Kill A Frog, it Will Be Raining Soon.

¡  Left Brain

¡  Rain is made by God not Frogs.
¡  Weather is not dependent on animals but instead its natural course.

¡  Right Brain

¡  Ancient people thought that nature is god (animism).
¡  It teaches us not to harm animals and leave them alone.

P/S: That is what our team did for our task on superstition.......have you understand that you need to look at things with both side if you truly want to understand something??
